What we do and who we are....

-Dragonfly Farm-
We are a small, but wonderful micro-eco farm located in Southwest Colorado, built from three strong generations of closely knit family. We maintain sustainable, natural and biointensive methods of growing. Our goal here at the farm is to spend time with God and family while enjoying what the land provides. We have a variety of farm labor that includes our goats, pigs, chickens and turkey's, and depend on them to deter the bugs, eat the weeds, uproot, till, and provide us with wonderful manure. Here on Dragonfly Farm everything has several jobs and purposes, all for the benefit of the farm. We try to use cage free, pasture based animal foraging. Although it's not uncommon to have to pen up the chickens due to them munching on our veggie seeds in the middle of planting. Our pigs we have a wonderful dual purpose on the farm as they act as natural tillers and fertilizers to the soil. We are completely switching our growing methods to a complete biointensive method this year. So our pigs are a huge benefit to that system. We are using them to completely root and till up our upper area of beds by our greenhouse. They are placed in paddocks and moved through the area as they do what they do best and that's root. As they go through each new area of soil with their perfect little snouts rooting up everything in sight we will then have a great area for next years planting.
We have switched to a more sustainable method of growing called bio-intensive growing. We believe this provides a method that is 80-95 percent more sustainable than traditional organic methods.
GROW BIOINTENSIVE mini-farming techniques make it possible to grow food using:
- 67% to 88% less water
- 50% to 100% less fertilizer
- 99% less energy than commercial agriculture, while using a fraction of the
resources.
We are open for visits during the season, and we also offer several classes on the farm. Please email or call for any questions/comments, we look forward to hearing from you. God Bless, Teresa and Family. Dragonfly.farms@hotmail.com

| Hey there, I'm Brianna, and all of our animals here on the farm are my babies, meaning that I take care of the feeding, cleaning, and other similar chores involving them. I'm a part time milker, along with my Mom and Grandma, and I also produce our lovely goat milk soap, and herbal creations. I bake a variety of treats for the Farmer's Markets, so if you see Dragonfly Family Farms, you'll probably see me too.
Hi, I am Teresa and I am the owner of Dragonfly Farm. I handle most of the milking chores, planting and maintaining the greenhouse, cheesemaking, breadmaking, marketing, and you will see me at the Farmers Markets. Brianna and I work together on a lot of things, and she is the right hand of the farm. We are truly a family farm and ,when needed, my dad and husband both pitch in on chores. They both handle a lot of the heavy and building aspect of what we need

The Raw Milk Association of Colorado (RMAC) is an association of raw milk producers and consumers who advocate for the traditional availability of raw milk products and seek to ensure a safe supply.
The fact that you are reading this material means that you are open to learning. It would be much easier just to listen to whatever the government says about raw milk. But then we consider that the past 50 years of government health recommendations have produced a nation of sick, obese and depressed people .
We will tell you what we have learned about raw milk. It will be a "real-world" education from farmers and doctors and people who are looking for good health.
We Know the Risks ...
We are not deluded day-dreamers pining for the sentimental things of the past . We simply want to exercise our constitutional right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." It's the "life" part that we are focused on at present, because nutrient dense foods are essential to a healthy life. And there are few foods as nutritional and rewarding as a glass of cold, fresh unadulterated milk.
