Here at Dragonfly Farm we have a small raw milk dairy. We have a small herd of Nubians and Saanans that we use for our dairy. Our ladies are maintained using a primary feed source of premium alfalfa hay, with a minimum amount of grain at milking time. The grain ration is our own special mix, which contains no soy or cottonseed. We find that paying strict attention to the feeding ratio and type of feed they are allowed offers the best flavor of milk possible. Our goal is to produce the sweetess milk we can achieve using natural methods.
Our newest addition to our milking herd is our milk cow. So we can now offer not only raw goats milk but our raw cow milk too. We have not quite set up her area the way we like but it is a work in progress. More details will follow on shares for our cow program.
